Holt Services is pleased to announce the expansion of its drilling operations into Arizona, making another significant milestone in the company’s strategic growth plan. This expansion strengthens Holt’s ability to serve clients throughout the Southwest while continuing to deliver the safe, responsive, and high quality drilling services that have defined our company since 2007.
Leading Holt’s Arizona operations is Shawn Cain. A highly respected drilling professional whose career spans nearly three decades. This July marks Shawn’s 30th year in the drilling industry, bringing a wealth of technical expertise, operational leadership, and industry knowledge to Holt’s growing team.
Shawn began his career in 1996 as a coring driller assistant before transitioning into environmental drilling in 1997. He started drilling sonic in 1999 and quickly established himself as a leader within the industry. Shawn advanced to Project Manager in 2008 and Operations Manager in 2010, overseeing complex drilling programs and growing operational teams.
In 2017 Shawn became VP of Operations for the Desert States where he managed operations across Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and Texas, overseeing approximately 100 employees and a diverse portfolio of drilling services and technologies.
As Holt establishes its Arizona presence, Shawn will lead a team supported by three sonic rigs including two Terrasonic 150cc rigs and a truck mounted Gus Perch and backed by the resources, expertise, and culture that have made Holt a trusted partner throughout the Western United States.
